Woohoo! The Winter 2008 issue of Twist Collective is out and guess who got a chance to join in the fun:
Click here to go straight to my mittens. (Thankfully, they’re infinitely better with the camera than I am. And wait ’til you see who’s wearing them!!) Here’s a little more detail:
The absolutely wonderful watercolor illustrations you see on Twist Collective were done by the very talented Eloise Narrigan. You can also see the Postwar Mittens on Ravelry. Need the yarn? You’ll find it here.
Stay cozy!

I was agog over the mittens when I saw them in this issue. The color combinations are really wonderful. Congratulations.

Mary Ann, Thank You for such a beautiful, thoughtful and well written pattern. I’m nearly finished with the cuff and I can’t believe I’m the first to list them as a project on Ravelry! I’m really in love with their simplicity but it’s so apparent the thought involved in the design. And I really love that the inspiration was pre-war tile work. I LOVE visiting old buildings with these tiles and patterns and always think of how many lives have passed through there and how many people don’t notice. Thank You! Can’t wait to show a picture but I have to be careful – they’re for a Ravelry Secret Pal gift!
